AILIHEN Headphones with Microphone

I picked up a set of headphones by AILIHEN the other week.  I was kind of skeptical at first because the packaging looked rather cheesy and cheap.  Without hesitating, I pulled them out, put them on and plugged the 3.5mm jack into my computer.  They were easy to adjust and easy to begin using since there was no driver installation necessary.

My first test was music.  Could it play the music in good enough quality that I wouldn't notice a difference between these headphones and my other headphones and speakers.  And actually, surprisingly enough, there was a noticeable difference, the audio quality was more superb with these headphones!

The second test was targeted more towards the microphone, could I carry on a Skype call and have the other person able to understand me easily?  This is where it began to go downhill a bit.  My friend that I was skyping loved the look of the headphones, but she complained about how "I sounded weird."  She wasn't able to explain it, but that it just sounded distorted.

The third and final test was prolong wearing of the headphones.  At first, they were super comfortable, the earpads fit perfectly around the ear, they were the perfect size, the whole 9 yards.  But they eventually became a little uncomfortable.  On the inside of the ear cups, there is a hard plastic piece where the speaker is.  My ears were feeling the pressure from that, making them uncomfortable after about two hours.  Probably more of a personal characteristic than a headphone characteristic, but this could easily be resolved if the earcup lining was made a bit thicker.

Honestly, I would recommend this headphone, but only if you have smaller ears or a smaller head.  They look sharp and look like a high-end model, even though they won't break the bank.  The volume control is a slider, not a button, but my feelings are mixed about that anyways.  The cable is more than plenty long for all of my purposes.
